Instructions for Use

Exploring Transformations lets students create, analyse, and describe designs using translations, rotations, and reflections.

To use Exploring Transformations, choose a colour.  Start drawing on the workspace and watch the effect as 19 translation images are created.  Switch colours to add extra colour to your design.

Visualizing Transformations lets students describe the relationships between the original shape and its image.

To use Visualizing Transformations, select a triangle, square, or circle. The shape will pop into the workspace. Click the reflection button and move the shapes in the workspace. Click on the blue dot and have your child describe the effects of the transformation. Do the same with the translation and rotation buttons.
