Quotient
Guess and Check prompts your child to practice estimating decimal
quotients.
To use Quotient Guess and Check, print the activity sheet. Have your
child estimate the closest quotient in a division problem.
Have your child play a game Quotient Guess and Check with one or more
partners. Division cards are stacked face down. One player turns over
a card, and each player estimates the quotient of the problem shown.
Players write down their estimates and then use a calculator to find
the exact answer. The player with the closest estimate earns one point.
When there is a tie, the tied players each earn one point. Play proceeds
in a clockwise direction. The player with the most points after ten
rounds wins the game.
