Instructions for UseFraction Pie prompts your child to model improper fractions using a variety of shapes. To use Fraction Pie, click on the pull-down menu to choose a shape. Drag the sliders to change the value of the denominator and numerator. Changing the slider corresponds to changes in the model, fraction, decimal and percent given.
Changing Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions lets your child practice converting mixed numbers into improper fractions To use Changing Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions, click the 'Start' button. Input the answer in the text box next to the 'Check' button, then click 'Check'. See if your answer is correct. Continue to change other mixed numbers into fractions.
Mixed Numbers to Fractions with Circles allows your child to rename mixed numbers as improper fractions. To use Mixed Numbers to Fractions with Circles, count the coloured sections in all the circles and input the number in the numerator text box. Count the sections in one circle and input the number in the denominator text box. Press the 'OK' button. Press the 'New Example' button for the next question. |
