Use these Web sites to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about evaluating survey results. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use

Survey Says prompts students to conduct a survey of what people want to be when they grow up, and make a graph to display the data.

To use Survey Says, survey your class and enter the number of people who want to do the jobs listed. Click the "Next" button. Create a bar graph of the data by dragging the bars to the correct location. Click the "check" button to check your answers. Decide whether the results of the survey would likely apply to other groups of people, such as high school students and university or college students.

Analyze the Survey Results of Your Favorite Sports lets students evaluate survey results and consider if the results would apply to other groups of people.

To use Analyze the Survey Results of Your Favorite Sports, click on either "Favorite Sport to Compete In" or "Favorite Sport to Watch". Decide whether the results of this survey would likely apply to other groups of people, such as teenagers, adults, and senior citizens.
