Use this activity to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning how to communicate about graphs. Students can try this activity on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use

Bar Graph lets students evaluate the accuracy of a bar graph.

To use Bar Graph, choose a data set from the drop-down menu beside "Choose data set:" under the graph. Then click the "Graph Data" button.

Evaluate the graph that appears. Is the scale appropriate? Is all the data included? Is the graph labelled correctly? What changes would you make to the graph?
