Instructions for UseMultiplying with Base 10 Blocks gives students an opportunity to explore multiplying two two-digit numbers using base ten block arrays. To use Multiplying with Base 10 Blocks, move the sliders to change the length and width of the rectangle. Notice how the multiplication problem changes to reflect the number of base ten blocks added to the rectangle. Click the "Self Check" or "Self Check 2" button to practice multiplying using arrays. To check an answer, click the "Check/Explain" button. To try a new problem, click the "New Problem" button. |
