Lesson 3 - Classifying Triangles by Angles

 

Use these interactive games and activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about classifying triangles by angles. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use

Kinds of Angles helps students learn the three types of angles.

To use Kinds of Angles, solve the questions by clicking on the correct type of angle.

 

Make Angles lets students observe the size of angles using a protractor.

To use Make Angles, click the "Make Angle" button to view different acute and obtuse angles.

Identifying Types of Triangles by Angles lets students select the type of triangle based on the size of its angles.

To use Identifying Types of Triangles by Angles, click the "Start" button. Determine what type of triangle each example is based on the description of the angles sizes. Then press the "Right", "Obtuse", or "Acute" button. A dialogue box will appear if your answer is incorrect. The text box below the question will indicate if your answer is correct.

 

Star Gazing lets students investigate angle measures using a protractor.

To use Star Gazing, click the "Play Game" button. In the text box, input the angle where you can find a planet and then click the "Point Telescope" button. A laser beam points to the planet and indicates if the angle is correct and a planet is located.
